Running 100 Miles per Hour all Week

Sorry for the lack of blogging. I have been very busy studying, teaching classes, hosting a Bible study in my home, visiting the Nandi Hills, packing for a trip to Nairobi, printing material for the trip to the refugee camp, and having an awesome time at a bond fire last night with high school youth.

I would say the highlight of this week was the Women’s Conference in the Nandi Hills. It was such an honor speaking to all these women! Beverly Wootton and I took turns teaching the book of Nehemiah. This was my first time ever even attending a women’s conference, so I am very glad she was there with me. Beverly had many creative ideas to help the women understand Nehemiah. For example: We brought a tent with us and covered it in branches and leafs so the women would understand the Feast of Tabernacles and what a Succoth (booth) was. Then, at one point, Beth, our translator, dressed as Ezra and read part of the Law in Hebrew to demonstrate how Ezra read the law to the Children of Israel. These women were all very blessed, and we were blessed to be there as well.

How exciting to see the pictures and hear about the wonderful work you are all doing. I check you blog the first thing every morning and I am always amazed to hear your stories and see the beautiful pictures. The Lord is working through you to spread His mighty Word. He called on you and you answered His call.
    Love, Lilly
