Resting, Growing, and Preparing to Go Back to Africa and Get Married

john-zz-2I have really enjoyed my time in Texas. It has been a time of rest, a time of studying God’s Word, and a time of preparation before I return home to Kenya.  I should be flying back on November the 10th.

In the mean time, my fiancee and I will be marrying in January in Jinja, Uganda. My Pastor, along with a few others from my home church, will be there for the wedding. John, my fiance, is an indigenous missionary who has the same calling as I do and has been trained through Calvary Chapel. After our wedding, we intend to continue our ministry in Africa, only together instead of apart.

John and I met on a mission trip to Kakuma Refugee Camp three years ago, and I can’t think of a mission I’ve gone on since then without him! I truly respect, appreciate, and love him, and I look forward to seeing the plans the Lord has for us and our ministry.

All of your Texas family and friends have been celebrating. This is such a special time for you and I have never seen you more happy! It is good being married and always having someone to share all the sweet things in your life. Blessing and warmest love for both of you always, Grammy
