Make a Joyful Noise

I am sorry I did not post yesterday, but my internet connection was down. I have found that Electricity goes out two or three times a day here, and that internet connectivity is spotty at best.

In any case, I wanted to let you know that I have found a home church here. Rest assured that it is a Bible believing conservative Christian church, but the worship style is all African! There is a striking difference between worship in the US and Africa. In Africa, it is a celebration and a time of great joy. People are happy to be in church, and they rejoice as they sing and dance to the Lord. I must say I am enjoying being a part of the celebration and praise.

I’ve often thought that they are so open and honest about their enjoyment of the Lord. We are to “make a joyful noise”. Sometimes I think we are so caught up in making the right impression that we forget the true reason to gather in the name of the Lord. As always my prayers are with you on this journey and for the children and their caretakers. God Bless

Thank you so much for your encouragement and your prayers. I need prayer for safety, and that God would keep my heart humble and give me a servant’s attitude.
