Four Months Without Kids

I don’t think I ever noticed how much I missed being around the watoto (children) until yesterday. I spent the whole day in town with Lisa and her friends buying clothes for the kids in the market.

As Lisa and her little angels traveled around in organized little groups with individual goody bags and budgeted funds, my kids moved up and down the strip mall like chaotic pillagers. The saddest part is that my kids were being well behaved, it was my complete and total lack of organization causing problems. At one point I was going up and down the hall returning clothing while asking five-year-olds  “what is your budget? What is your tab! Are you a girl or a boy? That dress is way to short for someone your age!” Oh how quickly I forget! It wasn’t a few months ago that I had 10 kids in town, at the pharmacist, hospital, and off to lunch without a single hiccup or misplaced receipt.

I bet they all had a great time whether you were organized or not. Just getting to go on a shopping trip I’m sure was a total treat for them. They are such cute kids. I’m so glad that Lisa and Benton got to be a part of this amazing experience. I love the market. Very much like the market near where I lived in Philippines. All the little stalls with such beautiful things to buy. Didn’t much care for the meat market. lol

Take Care and God Bless you and your ministry.
