More Baking and Talking About Jesus

It is becoming increasingly difficult teaching someone how to bake as a gluten free woman!  The temptation became nearly unbearable this weekend when Scovia and I spent the whole night up baking Clea Wootton’s famous tea cakes, but if my suffering as a late night gluten intolerant baker is for Christ, then I won’t complain. Psalms 34:8 says “Taste and see… (more…)

The Waterfall Class

The little school on the ridge of the huge waterfall has begun! We met with six students this week, gave them their books, and opened class. We loaded them down with homework (50 chapters of Genesis and 5 pages of hermeneutics homework). Since then, we have been communicating with them. They are diligently working on their homework and reporting that they will need… (more…)

Pastor Herman (one of the BTCP students) called me last night and said “Hello Missionary!” [Herman always calls me missionary because I wont let him… (more…)

The Zambian, Truck Driver Evangelist

What a testimony from our friend Alex! We met him at the BTCP teacher training in Nakonde, Zambia. While people parish for a lack of knowledge about Jesus Christ, pastors in Zambia are busy preaching prosperity, visiting villages for crusades, making money, and living comfortable lives. They never truly share the Gospel or live among the people to disciple them… (more…)

Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia

Hello everyone! We have finally made it back to Kenya after a 23 day journey of traveling 4170 miles across what seemed on the map to be a small portion of this huge content. Our team consisted of the Woottons (International Directors), Thomas Kirui (National Director), 3 of our regional leaders, 2 BTCP graduates from Ugandans, and myself. Here is… (more…)
