Saying Goodbye

Our SMBS team has been with us for two months and it is time for them to pack up and head home. One, Tim, had intentions of returning home for Bible school, but has decided to remain behind as a student in our home. He desires to complete Bible Training Center for Pastors (BTCP) with us and then return to the… (more…)

BTCP Teacher Training

The Slavic team fell in love with BTCP curriculum and asked if we could help them through. Praise the Lord that Simon Peter Echungu has been visiting with us and now taking all the personal student and the Slavic team through the workshop. He keeps it taped on the shelf next to the Bible and doesn’t respond well to objections. It goes something like: 6:00 am, class… (more…)

Calvary Chapel’s Annual East African Pastors Conference

“As in Philipians 1:6, our confidence continues to grow with the good work the SMBS team did in Uganda. Ellie, a young man who the SMBS team was disciplining, has decided to give up everything for Christ. I got him this morning at our gate at 8 am with his handwritten application letter asking to leave high school in favor of… (more…)

Proscovia Baptized

After seeing Peter baptized, Proscovia (one of our students) decided to be baptized as well! She had been sprinkled as a young child, but wanted to be baptized in a more Biblical manner. We followed the baptism up with swimming lessons and a good dinner of pork and chips. Had we only known our church was doing baptism again this Sunday we… (more…)
