Back to Work Tomorrow

I took my last antibiotic today and will be back to work tomorrow, so hopefully I will have some pictures for you all soon.

This weekend was Caleb’s going away party. Caleb is leaving Mattaw and going to college in Texas. He is the first to ever leave Mattaw. We had goat meat, movies, dancing, singing, crying, praying…till around 11:00 last night and then spent the whole morning at Mattaw doing it all over again. So sorry I didn’t have my camera!!

Please keep him in your prayers. I don’t think there is a single house dad at Mattaw that has not given him a speech within the last 48 hours regarding the seriousness  of being a missionary to America, how the little kids are all watching him,  and the temptations he will face while he is there. I am sure he feels the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Caleb is the first Kenyan I ever met. He has been my friend ever since the day he picked me up at the Airport in Nairobi one year ago, and his helping hands are going to be missed by all of us.

It is sad that Caleb is leaving but what a success story. He will will be an inspiration to all the others at Mattaw, they will always remember him and tell others about him. I hope he gets a great education in Texas and doesn’t lose any of his woderful African heritage. We could all learn something from him. God Bless all of you, Lilly

I will certainly pray that the Lord will protect him here, including from the temptations that the enemy uses and that he will face here.

Hope you are feeling better. 🙂
