Answering Aaron’s request, an Update

Sorry everyone for leaving you in the dark so long. I didn’t want to jump the gun and state all my intentions before they were official, but now I can share!

I have been praying for the last three months that God would open a door for me to disciple young ladies. Since I moved to Kenya much of my work has been health related and not gospel focused. I felt very convinced that I either needed to start sharing the gospel on top of working as a nurse at Mattaw or go home to the States and start discipling girls. I was expecting that God might answer my prayers with one or two young ladies, but I wasn’t expecting him to answer with 100!

Pictured below is my friend Katie, we were informed by a missionary couple from Calvary Chapel that there are around 200 high school girls living up in the mountains who desperately wanted to know who Jesus is and more about the gospel. They have asked us if we will split the girls into two classes and teach them a biblical foundation course. I have been looking over the material and am very excited about this!

I’ll post a short documentary tomorrow about the Mt. Elgon region for you. It is about an hour away from where I live. These people have suffered through a lot of violence.

The Lord has been with you every step of the way and has led you to this place. What a Blessing for these young girls and for yourself. I just want to stand in the street and sing “Praise The Lord”. Love, Lilly

We are so happy that you have found the school and will be teaching the girls about Jesus’ gospel and life. You have a rare opportunity to greatly influence those girls and start them down a path of becoming chrstians.
