Medicine Cannot Cure Everything

medical-clinic-outreachJesus said in Mark 2:17 “…Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

To the left is a picture of last week’s medical outreach  in Nakuru. Dr. Phau headed things up and I helped her with a few of the patients. Around 300 people in total were seen. Although I enjoy talking with patients about their medical problems, medicine will only temporarily relieve people’s physical suffering. They need Jesus. That is why we always recruit people to minister to those standing in line! The man in black pictured above prayed with everyone who came through the line and then took them outside to small groups where a team from Johnson Ferry Baptist shared the Gospel with the patients and ministered towards them.  Those who responded to the gospel gave their phone numbers to the local church and they will do follow up.

Do most of the Kenyans have cell phones? I see that they leave their phones numbers.
